Introductory Training Sessions
Whether you are an Internet novice still trying to decide if
the Internet is right for you, or an experienced World Wide Web
user ready to build your own home page, ARInternet's basic
business training can help you get started. Our Introductory
courses emphasize hands-on training, small classes, bibliographic
material for further study, and direct application of the course
material to your interests.
Advanced Training
Perhaps you are an MIS officer, about to take on the job of
administering your own Internet site. Or possibly you are an
experienced World Wide Web user, ready to make the transition
from consumer to provider of information.
Our customized courses for system administrators cover topics
such as: setting up gopher, WWW, and ftp servers; managing
mailing lists; system security. Courses for information
providers further explore applications such as ftp, gopher, and
the World Wide Web and include an introduction to HTML.
Please call ARInternet to discuss your specific advanced
training requirements.
Training at Our Site
You will have ample opportunity during the full-day or half-day
session to explore the Internet under the guidance of our expert instructors,
at your own workstation. Each course participant is
automatically registered for one month's free ARInternet access.
Training at Your Site
If we come to your site, we will tailor
the training sessions to the specific needs of your organization.
Morning, afternoon, or full-day sessions are available. We will focus on
discovery (using search indexes) and exploration (using browse
tools) of Internet resources appropriate for your needs, and we
will provide an extensive list of resources for further personal
exploration.
Given the personalized nature of our on-site training
programs, we offer volume discounts when several training
sessions are booked in advance. Please call for information.
