Sign-up for ISDN

ARInternet's Centrex-based ISDN service includes installation of a full BRI (2B+D) or partial BRI (B+D) line from customer's site to ARInternet. In the 2B+D configuration either one or both of the B channels may be used for data transfer, yielding bandwidths of 64 kilobits per second (Kbps) or 128 Kbps, respectively (before compression).

If only one channel is used for data the other may be used for any other ISDN service, such as voice, fax, answering machines, or other devices, provided that the appropriate interface equipment is available. This is a flat-rate connection. There are no additional usage charges (time or packet).

Equipment Needed: The customer will need an ISDN router and termination device (NT1), which are not included in the setup fee.

For an additional charge ARInternet will be happy to puchase and configure an ISDN router/NT1 device. Please call to disguss your installation needs.

Many, but not all, ISDN routers have the NT1 already built in. Most ISDN routers claim 4:1 compression ratios but actual compression depends on the files being transferred. Ratios of 2:1 are commonly available.

Notes:

Installation: Allow approximately four weeks.
Deposit: A non-refundable deposit equal to 100% of the total installation fee must accompany the order.
Billing: ARInternet MRC is billed in advance, and payment is due 10 days after the invoice is issued.
Telco Billing: Telco prices may vary. Customer will be billed directly by Bell Atlantic for this part of the service.
Cancellation: Following cancellation of service, ARInternet will transfer authority for primary name service to whomever the customer designates, but will retain the IP addresses as part of its own network.
